First Stage Youth Group
We're back. After a long break, and two missed shows, we now preparing to get back into the rehearsal room! We are looking for members, old and new, to make our new cast ready to start in September. We are also looking for helpers. There is still time to sign up. If your child is interested in joining us, please get in touch by completing the contact form below.
First Stage is not just about rehearsing and putting on shows – throughout the year children take part in workshops to learn and develop new musical theatre skills, and have an input in creative work. Our end of year show is a culmination of all the projects the children have worked on that year.
Workshops run on Monday evenings every week during term time from the Labour Club on Silent Street in Ipswich (see map). Children in school years 1 to 6 attend 19:00 – 20:00, and young people in Year 7 or above from 20:15 – 21:15. Subs are £20 per term.
All leaders are specialists in at least one of the disciplines of musical theatre, are DBS checked and have attended Safeguarding training

What people say about us:
"We saw the end of year show at Henley. What a brilliant bunch, from the littlies to the teens. Not forgetting the enthusiasm of the adults who taught the kids and created the show."
"Great show yesterday. [My daughter] has gained so much confidence from your sessions. Thank you all."
"I was impressed with how responsibly the young people behaved. They were ready to go on when they were required and they kept out of the way when they were not. Thank you to each and every one of them. They are a credit to you leaders. It was an absolute pleasure spending the weekend with First Stage."
